The 2022 Range Rover – Spy Shots

February 29th, 2020 by

So I’m excited to announce that I have news about a Land Rover vehicle other than the new Defender! Land Rover has been testing the 2022 Range Rover and spy shots have been captured of this vehicle testing in winter weather.

Having not seen any major changes to the design (save the interior) for almost 7 years now, the Range Rover has been in much need of a redesign. Admittedly, there’s not much to be seen due to the abundant amount of camouflage, but there are a few indicative details that should be noted. The overall shape is looking less boxy, letting the Defender play host to that shape, while the headlamps seem to pull from the Defender design.

Additionally, quad exhaust systems sit at the rear of the vehicle, which would make sense as rumor has it the new Range Rover will rely on a V8 engine built by a partnership with Range Rover and BMW. Combine that with a new platform called the Modular Longitudinal Architecture, and even if the exterior is completely hidden, we can already tell the next Range Rover will be a brand new vehicle.

Release is forecasted for late 2021, so expect to see the current Range Rover model still for the next year. But don’t fret too much, as the current Range Rover is still a fantastic vehicle; if you don’t believe me, just join us at Land Rover Wichita for a test drive!
